12th International Short Film Festival Winterthur
DEADLINE: 31. July postmarked

We are glad to announce the entries call for the international competition of the 12th International Short Film Festival Winterthur and would like to invite you to participate. Winterthur is the biggest short film festival in Switzerland and a significant platform for both national and international short films. The international competition is open to films of all genres produced within the last two years and which are no longer than 25 minutes. An international jury awards the following prizes:

Main prize worth CHF 12’000 (ca. Euro 7’300) for the best film in the international competition,
Promotion Award CHF 10’000 (ca. Euro 6’100) for the best achievement in directing
Special Award CHF 8’000 (ca. Euro 4’900) for the best Swiss short film.
The Audience Award CHF 8’000 (ca. Euro 4’900) is selected by the audience.

Please submit your film as early as possible!
There are two ways to submit your film:

Either you send us the preview copy on VHS/DVD by mail and fill in an online entry form on

where you also find all information about the festival and the competition. The application deadline is 31 July 2008 (postmark)

Or you upload the preview copy digitally over the internet via our submission partner
http://www.reelport.com
and fill in the entry form there. Attention: Applications via reelport are only possible until 30 June 2008!

The Inscape Special Award is open for all interactive stories and projects
which have been realized with the Inscape Authoring Software, available for

project will receive a brand new laptop with the final Inscape software
package pre-installed.
